Meet Rosie Hays
Rosie began coming to Kindermusik classes with her daughter Iris in 2018, and they quickly became regular attendees. She is fascinated by music and child development and has loved the opportunities that Kindermusik has given her to bond with Iris. As a Kindermusik teacher, she is excited to provide this opportunity to other families and to witness how intentional music making can provide space for learning, growth, and meaningful interaction.
Rosie completed her undergraduate degree in music therapy at Loyola University New Orleans, where she worked with fellow survivors of Hurricane Katrina in field work experience. After receiving her board-certification in music therapy, she completed her master's degree at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds to nurture their relationship to music as part of the therapeutic process. She became a licensed Kindermusik educator in 2020. Rosie has spent the last 9 years as a musician in Chicago, playing solo and dueling pianos throughout the city. She and her husband met playing together and have been spending a good part of quarantine singing and playing Disney and show tunes ridiculously loudly in their living room. |
