Meet Ariel Polich!
Cello, Violin, Viola, Piano
Ariel was raised in a musical family. She studied both music education and Spanish linguistics at NIU. Her primary instruments are cello and piano, yet she has received a lifetime of pedagogy training on violin and viola from her mother, an orchestra teacher of 40 years. Ariel has performed in a variety of ensembles and genres—from classical orchestras, to bluegrass, folk, rock, and metal. The most prominent theme in her academic work has been focused on intersections between music, language, and literacy. She has international music and language teaching experience and has taught in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Denmark, and within the local communities of the Chicagoland area. Her primary aim is to create positive and playful interactions with music that lead to the development of the whole child and inspire a life long appreciation for music. |
