Our Story

Jessica & Luis Solares opened Bucktown Music in 2008, when the two of us were teaching all of the lessons and classes ourselves, as well as running a new startup business.
We are thankful to have a wonderful staff to help expand our vision, which has stayed constant through the years: Music making is for everyone, of all ages and abilities, and in all musical styles. Music brings people together, whether it's a parent & child, sibling, or friends. Music is a way to fuel your brain & drive creative thinking, express emotions when you can't find the words, and bring joy to any occasion.

One-on-One Lessons

The space is clean and well-maintained and we feel comfortable having our son lay and roll around the classroom. Our Commitment to Health and Safety

• Our staff members are all fully vaccinated
• Masks are optional
• Pianos are sanitized between lessons
• Kindermusik™ instruments are sanitized after each use
• Each lesson room has a Medify air filter
• Students and teachers should maintain as much physical distance as possible during the lesson
• Anyone (students or staff) who is feeling unwell or has had a known exposure to covid-19 should stay home and switch to virtual lessons that week until symptoms subside, they are cleared by a medical professional, or get a negative covid test
